Back To School Clothing Haul!

Hey everyone!

As August comes to a close many of us are heading back to school which inspired me to do a clothing haul on clothes that I've recently picked up for this upcoming school year! (P.S If you've already started school I apologize if its late to be doing a video/blog post like this! Where I live we don't start school until the beginning of September (: ) I'll link all the products I mention in this blog post at the bottom and I'll link everything in the description of the video! (:

Let's talk about shoes! I've seen so many fashion bloggers wearing running shoes which seems to be a trend this fall! Usually I wouldn't wear running shoes unless I was exercising or working out but that all changed when I laid my eyes on these beauties!
(Nike Air Max Thea)

They're beautiful aren't they? These are the Nike Air Max Thea in the black and white! I LOVE THESE! I wasn't planning on getting any running shoes for the school year since I've always been someone who would wear anything but running shoes! However these are an exception! They're super comfortable and lightweight so it'll be something I can easily slip on and be out the door!

Onto the clothes I picked up.. They were all on sale!

We're going talk about Costco! Yes I know Costco is where many shop for food but they always have clothes and some are awesome deals if you look for them!

Another huge fall trend this year is plaid! For y'all of you who didn't know I absolutely LOVE plaid! I always get a warm cozy feeling whenever I look at a plaid for some reason.. ANYWAYS this is the plaid shirt I got from a brand called Tailor Vintage!
(Tailor Vintage Plaid Shirt)
I honestly wasn't expecting to pick up this color of plaid since I already own a few that look almost identical to this, However this one just fits like a D R E A M! It's long enough to cover the tush and its softer than a lot of plaid shirts I've seen in my day!
Side note: Didn't know this was a brand that catered to Boys and Men but who cares when a shirt look and feels this nice?

Leggings, Leggings, LEGGINGS!
These are the ONLY things I wear anymore! Their super comfy, easy to wear, go with everything, and just a staple in my opinion! I own a ton of leggings already but lets be real here.. You can never have enough leggings!
(Tuff Athletics Yoga Leggings. Top: Black with zippered pocket, Middle: Black With Blue detail with waist pocket no zip, Bottom: Exactly the same as the middle except the color is kind of a grey-blue speckled with white! Looks like Space to me!)
These are from the brand Tuff Atheltics! You can find it at your Local Costco and I'll have the link to it at the end of the blog! But seriously.. these are awesome! They're comfy and just go with everything!

Moving onto one of my favorite place to shop..

Old Navy! I seriously love this place so much! It's got a huge selection of clothes for kids and adults that come at reasonable prices. Whenever I go in I'm always on the hunt for great deals so I usually look at the clearance racks first since some of the best things I've bought from ON are from there!
(Seamed Drapey Shirt in Grey and Plum. Necklace from H&M)

These two shirts I found in the clearance rack and I'm so in love with these shirts! They're big, loose, and flowy which makes them super comfortable and easy to throw on and be out the door. Usually with plain shirts like these I'll wear a simple long necklace like the one in the picture above that I bought from H&M! I love the ability that a simple accessory can make an outfit look a little more put together.

Along with the Seamed Drapey Shirts, I picked up I also snatched up this grey and white striped dolman sleeve cocoon top!
(Old Navy Dolman-Sleeve Cocoon Top)

I was skeptical about picking up this top at first since I don't find stripes to be very flattering on my but guys.. this is the exception! It's very nice and flattering on and it's super simple to throw an outfit together with this top. You can easily pair this with some leggings or jeans, some cute shoes, a cardigan, and a simple necklace like the one in the picture above that I paired with the Seamed Drapey Shirts.

Chambray is a staple in my wardrobe during the summer, However I love wearing it in the fall as well especially ones that are a little darker like this one!
(Light grey/navy Polka-dot Chambray shirt)
I LOVE this top! It's has long sleeves which is perfect for those chilly days when I can pop a military jacket over top of this. I can definitely see myself wearing this with some leggings, boots, roll up the sleeves a little throw on a watch and a necklace!

Now onto possible my two most favorite tops I've ever picked up!
(Kimono sleeve floral printed top)

Isn't this top the cutest? I love the kimono sleeves on this top! It's something unique I haven't seen on other tops before! I love how this top is flowy and how easy it is to wear this top. I love the print of it as well because it makes it a little more interesting to look at!

(Sleeveless V-Neck Top)

This top guys.. It's absolutely beautiful and I love it! If any of you remember the Phillip Lim X Target collaboration two years ago this totally reminded me of it which was a huge reason why I picked it up!

Everything will be link down below in order!

I hope you enjoyed this back to school haul! What are some of your back to school clothing essentials? Let me know down in the comments! I'd love to hear them! (:

REVIEW & SWATCHES| Hard Candy 20th Anniversary Highlighter Duo

Hi Everyone!

I'm back with a review on the Hard Candy 20th Anniversary Highlighter Duo in Lit up!

You can find these here in Canada at your local Walmart for $6.98 which makes this product affordable and accessible. They also had a bronzing duo that I wasn't able to pick up due to the fact everyone had tampered with them!

(The display at my Walmart!)

The highlighter is in a heart shape (Absolutely Adorable!) half of the heart is a lighter pale light gold shade, while the other half is a peachy toned golden shade. It's also in this cute pink keepsake tin! The highlighter itself is in this black flexible plastic thing that holds it, so once you've used up the highlighter you got yourself a cute little tin to put whatever you want in.

(Hard Candy 20th Anniversary Highlighter Duo in Lit Up)

The lighter shade is absolutely beautiful! I think its just such a pretty pale light gold shade that I gravitate toward the most when I'm shopping for a highlighter. The darker half is a gorgeous peachy golden toned highlight that is pretty on its own, However I personally don't like wearing it on its own as my highlighter just my personal preference.

(Hard Candy 20th Anniversary Duo in Lit Up)

My favorite way to use this highlighter is to swirl the two shades together! You get this beautiful highlight that isn't too gold or peach! It's perfect!

(Swatches: Left-  Light side, Centre - Peachy Side, Right - Both Swirled Together)
I also decided to compare it next to one of my favorite drugstore highlighter that are also by Hard Candy which is the So Baked Bronzer in Tiki! (Why it's called a bronzer baffles me)

(Hard Candy So Baked Bronzer in Tiki)

I feel that the formula on the 20th Anniversary Highlighting duo is drier and not as velvety feeling to the touch but it is still smooth. The pigmentation of Tiki is definitely more pigmented which last longer on my skin that the Lit Up Highlighter duo, that being said I do feel that its easy to go a little crazy with Tiki so I like that I can get away with being heavy handed while apply Lit Up.

(Swatches L- R: Light shade from Lit Up, Peachy Shade from Lit Up, Lip Up Swirled, Tiki)
My Favorite brush that I use to apply all of my highlighters with is this brush from Real Techniques! It's their fan brush that I got their Sculpting Set. I find that this brush is perfect because it's small and thin so it doesn't pick up too much product and I just like that I can place where I want my highlight to be precisely.

(Real Techniques Fan brush! Perfect for highlighting!)

Check out my video for a demo of this product:

All in all I think that the Hard Candy 20th Anniversary Highlighter is a beautiful highlighter! It's affordable and easily accessible to many people, and I think its a perfect highlight for those who are just dipping into makeup. I'll definitely continue to reach for this beauty whenever I want that gorgeous pop on my cheekbones!

Rating: 4.5/5

Have you seen these highlighters at your Walmart yet?

REVIEW | RIMMEL Lasting Finish Nude Lipstick Collection by Kate Moss

Hey Everyone!!

I'm so excited to share this review I have on the brand spankin' new Rimmel the Nudes Lipstick Collection by Kate Moss!!

I found mine at London Drugs for $7.99 each and they weren't in any special display! They were with the other Rimmel products where I stumbled upon them along with the other Kate Moss lipsticks!

(At London Drugs where I found the lipsticks!)

There were 4 shades in total (#40 Pale Nude/#42 Apricot Nude/#43 Tan Nude & #45 Rose Nude) at the location I went to. The lightest shade was completely sold out and there was no tester either! However I doubt I would've grabbed it since it seemed like a concealer looking type of lipstick. I grabbed 2 of the 4 shades (#42 Apricot Nude & #45 Rose Nude) and the chapstick called the Kate Conditioning Balm! (in the white packaging with pink Kate Moss signature)

Although I didn't pick up shade #43 (had shimmery glittery looking stuff in it) I was able to swatch it along the other two nude shades they had testers for
(Top: #42, Middle #43, #45 Bottom)

At a glance looking at the packaging it looks just like the other Rimmel by Kate Moss lipsticks except the color of the packaging is a nude color with her signature in white. The chapstick is the one in the white packaging with the pink signature! Absolutely simple and adorable packaging!

Starting off with the lip balm I absolutely LOVE IT!

The packaging was so cute so I picked it up not really having high expectations for a lip balm but I absolutely LOVE it! It has a really nice formula to it where it is nice and hydrating on the lip, yet it isn't a heavy feeling on the lips at all. It's somewhere between an EOS lip balm (not hydrating at all in my opinion) to a Burt's Bee's lip balm (hydrating but somewhat thick and heavy on lips) which to me is the best of both worlds! You get a lip balm that is just as hydrating as the Burt's Bee's lip balm yet thinner! I find that this lip balm hydrates my lips for about 5-6 hours before I feel the need to reapply!
I definitely recommend the lip balm to those of you who have minimal dryness to your lips!(occasionally tight feeling). Those of you who have severely dry cracking peeling lips stay away! This product won't help fix your problem, you'll need something like vaseline that is more heavy duty.

Rating: 5/5
(L-R #42 Apricot Nude, #45 Rose Nude. Indoor lighting)

Onto the lipsticks..

(Top: #42 Apricot Nude, Bottom: #45 Rose Nude. Natural Lighting)

They're the same formula as all the other Lasting Finish lipsticks and I love that formula!
I find these lipsticks to be very creamy! They glide onto the lips with ease which is something I always look for in any lipstick. Since they are creamy I find that they don't accentuate the lines on my lips. These lippes are very pigmented with just a swipe! However I like to do two coats to get the fully opaque color I see in the tube! I usually get around 5-6 hours of wear time out of these depending on how much I'm eating and drinking throughout the day!

Rating: 5/5

I absolutely LOVE this new collection! I think Rimmel did a fantastic job as usual!

Check out my video below to see how they look on the lips and how they apply:

Have you tried these new lippies yet? Let me know in the comments!
