REVIEW | Lise Watier HydraForce Hydra-Protective Comforting Creme

Hey everyone!

Today I'm going to be sharing my thoughts on the brand new HydraForce Hydra-Protective Comforting Creme from Lise Watier! I received this lovely set to try out and review for you guys from Glamsense!

This product retails for $45 here in Canada and you can find this at your local London Drugs or you can get it online from their website here

Lets start off with the packaging! Isn't it so cute? Literally reminds me of a bubble hence the hashtag #getinthebubble

Now onto the actual product!

The smell of it is light but I can't exactly pinpoint what the exact scent is! it kind of smells fresh (if that's even a scent). The texture of this product is a creme that just melts into your skin like butter on a pile of mash potatoes. It also has a cooling sensation when you touch it, which I enjoy especially when I'm half asleep getting ready in the morning. I find that this glides onto the skin with ease and once it's absorbed into the skin it literally makes your skin feel soft and almost silky! I also love that this gives me a light glow like a lit from within look which I LOVE!

First I tested this on my hand to see how this little device worked. After that I moved onto my T-Zone area to see how moisturized it was and I was amazed! This was able to moisturize my skin fairly well without making me look or feel greasy which is always something I look for in a moisturizer!  Now onto my cheeks this is where my skin has dry patches! I have oily-combo/acne prone skin so I was pleasantly surprised that this was able to help lock in the moisture with the chilly weather. Here are my results from the first day I started using this and the last day:

As you can see my skin definitely became more hydrated as I continued to use this product and it's really helped my skin look healthy!

I feel that this product is geared those with normal-dry skin as it states on their website. However if you have a similar skin type to mine and your skin tends to get drier during the cold winters then you may want to consider trying this product out!

Pros

- Lightweight feel on the skin
- Nice cooling sensation upon application
- Didn't break me out
- Moisturizes skin without being greasy
- Nice light scent

Cons

- Expensive
- Wish it came with a spatula (for sanitary reasons)

FINAL THOUGHTS

This product has been great for keeping my skin well hydrated and looking lively! I feel that this will work for those who have a similar skin type to mine in the colder months. I love that this is hydrating without weighing my skin down and making me look like an oily mess, it's literally the perfect moisturizer for my oily-combo skin during this season! Although the packaging of this product is so cute I do wish that it came with a spatula, or came in a squeezable tube since this is in a tub and I don't like dipping my fingers into it.

Rating 4/5

What are some products you like to use on your skin in the colder months? Let me know in the comments! I'd love to hear about it! (:

I'd also like to take this moment and thank Glamsense for sending me this product to review!

REVIEW | LAPCOS X Disney Brightening CC Cushion SPF 50 + PA +++

Hi everyone!

Today I'm back with a review on the LAPCOS X Disney Brightening CC Cushion SPF 50+ PA +++ and I am in the shade 02 Natural Beige

First things first can we take a minute and appreciate this packaging? I'm a total sucker for anything with cute packaging so I absolutely LOVE IT!

I found this gem over at Bisou Beauty Bar and it retails for $27

Here is the description of the product from Bisou Beauty Bar's website:

Lapcos' Brightening CC Cushion with SPF 50 + PA +++ is a lightweight cushion meant to correct the color in your skin tone and give it a bright boost! You can use this cushion after skincare for light coverage, build it up or use a heavier foundation or bb cream over top.  This CC cushion has moisturizing qualities so you don't have to worry that you'll be a cakey OR oily mess!
This CC cushion comes in two colors:  Rose Ivory for lighter skin tones and Natural Beige for light to medium skin tones.

This product has a slight baby powdery type of scent to it that disappears after you apply it.
I was quite surprised to see how much this was able to cover up! The coverage on this is unreal! I feel that you can easily get a light-medium coverage with this, and on most days where I'm strapped for time or if I'm just really lazy this easily doubles up as a concealer.
Swatch of the LAPCOS X Disney Brightening CC Cushion SPF 50 + PA +++ in No 2 Natural Beige in natural day light
The appearance of this on the skin is nice! I find that this has a nice satin finish and it looks natural on the skin for the most part depending on how much you apply. I usually set my foundations/bb creams etc with a powder and I find that with my oily/combination skin this last about 4.5-5 hours before I feel the need to blot; After about 8 hours is when I find this starts to fade a little around my nose but on the rest of my face it still looks great!
L- MAC Pro Long Wear Concealer NC25, C- LAPCOS Brightening CC Cushion No 2 Natural Beige, R- Etude House Precious Mineral Any Cushion W24 Honey Beige. Taken in natural daylight

For reference I am an NC25 in MAC and I use the shade W24 Honey Beige in the Etude House Precious Mineral Any Cushion.

I feel like this product will work best on those with dry/combo and normal skin, if you do have oily or oily/combo skin you will definitely have to set with powder and blot.

Pros

- Good coverage
- Lightweight
- Not greasy
- Last a good amount of time
- Doesn't accentuate dry spots

Cons

- Can't refill the product
- Only comes in two shades

FINAL THOUGHTS

This product is great for those days where you don't want to do a full face of makeup but want to look polished. It has a great buildable coverage and because it's a compact it's travel friendly and easy to throw into your purse for any touch ups on the go. This will work great for those with dry, normal, dry-combo skin, however if you do have oily skin and don't mind setting with a powder and blotting later on in the day this product will also work well for you.

Would you repurchase this product? I will not be repurchasing this product again because I like to try out new products all the time.
